Force Majeure

Primary Clause — Limitation of Liability
ITITRC Force Majeure Declaration

ITITRC shall not be held liable in any way if there is a change in Date and Time, Re-scheduling, or Postponing of the Chennai AI Summit 2026 due to any Force Majeure conditions beyond its control, including failure of procedures or circumstances that make it impossible or impractical to hold the event as originally planned. In such events, ITITRC will make every reasonable effort to communicate changes promptly to all registered delegates via the contact details provided at the time of registration. The organizers accept no responsibility for any costs, losses, or damages — direct or indirect — incurred by delegates or third parties as a consequence of such disruptions, including but not limited to travel bookings, accommodation, or ancillary expenses.

Strikes
Industrial action, labour strikes, or work stoppages affecting event operations or venue access.

Riots & Civic Commotion
Civil unrest, public disorder, protests, or communal disturbances in the event city or region.

Fire
Fire or explosion at the event venue or surrounding infrastructure rendering it unsafe or inaccessible.

War & Conflict
Armed conflict, military operations, invasion, or hostilities whether declared or undeclared.

Terrorism
Terrorist threats, attacks, or security advisories issued by government or law enforcement agencies.

Pandemic / Lockdown
Government-mandated lockdowns, health emergencies, or restrictions including COVID-19 or similar outbreaks.

Government Regulations
New legislation, orders, prohibitions, or directives issued by Central or State Government authorities.

Act of Nature / God
Natural disasters including earthquakes, floods, cyclones, tsunamis, lightning strikes, or severe weather events.
Clause 02 — Delegate Notification
Communication in the Event of Disruption

In the event of any Force Majeure condition affecting the Chennai AI Summit 2026, ITITRC will make reasonable efforts to notify all registered delegates as early as practicable through the email address and contact details provided at registration. Announcements will also be published on the official ITITRC website and social media channels. It is the delegate's responsibility to ensure their registered contact information is accurate and up to date at the time of booking.

Clause 03 — Rescheduling Rights
Organizer's Right to Modify the Event

ITITRC reserves the unilateral right to reschedule, postpone, relocate, or alter the format of the Chennai AI Summit 2026 — including transitioning to a hybrid or fully virtual format — in response to any Force Majeure event. Where the event is rescheduled, registered delegates will be offered credit toward the new date of equivalent value. No monetary refunds will be issued as a result of Force Majeure-related changes. Delegates may refer to the Cancellation & Return Policy for full details on the refund position.

Clause 04 — Governing Law
Legal Framework & Jurisdiction

This Force Majeure clause and all related obligations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising in connection with the application of this clause shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Madras High Court, Chennai. By completing registration for the Chennai AI Summit 2026, delegates acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Force Majeure policy in its entirety.
